After teasing a “big announcement” and being aligned with WVU for months, offensive line recruit Gavin Crawford officially declared his commitment to West Virginia on Wednesday.

Crawford (6-foot-3, 310 pounds) attends Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md. as a 2025 prospect, the same school as top 2024 signee Kyle Altuner.

Crawford, who most recently visited Morgantown in mid April, has earned a three-star rating from several national recruiting outlets. Both Rivals and 247 Sports have Crawford as one of the top 20 players in Maryland.

The Mountaineers had serious competition for Crawford. He owns offers from 19 programs, including big brands like Boston College, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Michigan State, Pitt and Syracuse among others.
