A Texas wide receiver stole headlines at last year’s NFL Combine due to the 40-yard Dash. Xavier Worthy set the all-time record with a 4.21 official time. It worked him into the first round of the draft, being selected by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Well, two more Longhorns are currently in Indianapolis with the hopes of showing out. One in particular, Isaiah Bond, was quite confident he would break Worthy’s record when speaking to the media on Friday. But Matthew Golden wound up beating his former teammate and neither made any kind of history.
NFL Network put together a simulcast of the three Texas stars, with the podium reading Worthy (4.21), Golden (4.3), then Bond (4.4). Speed any college football coach would dream about, Steve Sarkisian had it at his disposal over the last two seasons.
