You know what time it is!?! It’s time for another Poppy Playtime article!!! And this one has a potential prize inside because we’re talking merch! Playtime Co. has released a buried toy commercial that introduces you to your new, preorderable best cuddle buddy, called the Wrongside Outimals! The shop hosts three of those interesting monsters: Bindle Boogie, Doodle Bones, and Blanky Blankz!

What The Heck is A Wrongside Outimal?

These tiny toys, the Wrongside Outimals, are egg-like stuffed toys with zippers for mouths, cross stitches for eyes, and interesting skin patterns. When kids unzip their mouths, it folds inside out to reveal the toy’s other unique plush form. There are a total of seven of these whimsical creations, each harboring a defining personality inside! So if these guys are from Playtime Co., where are they in Poppy Playtime?

In the game, we find out that the Wrongside Outimals weren’t an approved toy series due to negative reviews from the focus group. Evidence of those opinions appears on a cassette tape, where most testers found the toys unsettling and creepy. The collection never made it to store shelves…until now! Playtime Co. has opened a shop where you can preorder these plushies!

Wrongside Outimals and The Prototype

In Poppy Playtime, the intro to Chapter 5 shows test footage of a Wrongside Outimals commercial interwoven with grotesque imagery of stuffed toys being cut, pulled apart, and then restitched back together by the Prototype’s hand. One minute you’re watching over intusiastic kids playing with their own Wrongside Outimal, and then it’s interrupted by the Prototype’s experimental recordings.

Each incision in those surgical recordings shows cotton, guts, and blood pouring out of the toys under the knife. You can witness the key moments as the Prototype progresses to the final product. The results of those gruesome procedures are the Prototype’s own recreation of his version of a Wrongside Outimal. These “Wrongside Outimals” are the abominations we encounter in Broken Things.

In the game, these horrible creations appear as patched-up stuffed toys with the entirety of their internal skin exposed, serving as their new exterior. The stitches along their bodies are spilling with their fur, and their eyes are inverted, showing their eye pins. They inhabit the underground of the Prototype’s lair, hunting in the dark for food, both denizens and their own kin.

Because they’ve been in the dark lair since their “transformation,” they have adapted to the environment. Despite their vicious behaviors, they have some semblance of civil manners, such as the make-shift homes and tents you pass through. They can talk but prefer to do so amongst each other, and attack like feral animals for the kill. To fend off their attacks, the player can use any light source to scare them away.

Preordering Original Wrongside Outimals!

Sadly, the Prototype’s Wrongside Outimals aren’t the ones up for preorder, but that doesn’t mean the original collection isn’t inferior. Each plushie is about 14 inches tall and has a Likes-Dislikes list that shows their character. The estimated time of shipping is estimated around mid-July 2026, but that can change over time. Go over there and see those little rascals for yourselves!
