The Los Angeles Rams are all set to begin their 2025 season in September, and Aaron Donald has high hopes this year. The former defensive tackle thinks the upcoming season will be better.
The 34-year-old, during a Raising Cane’s event in Burbank, California, revealed his expectations for the Rams.
When asked by On3 about what he expects from the LA Rams, Donald told the reporters, “A better year.” He further said that the team’s “offense is going to be stand-packed.”
The former Rams player continued, “Still got a lot of veteran guys, a lot of good players. But when it pertained to the defense, they had a young defense that pressed a lot of people.” Donald believes that the players got that experience with each other,” which will help them have a better year than last year”.
Donald thinks “sky’s the limit” for the Rams’ players, and he will be watching and cheering for his former team either “as a fan in the stands” or “on the couch.” Donald, who played college football with the Pittsburgh Panthers, was drafted by the Rams in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft. The Super Bowl champion spent 10 years in the NFL and played entirely for the Rams.
The 2024 season was the first time the Rams played without Donald in the squad following the veteran’s retirement. The NFL side progressed in the playoffs after a 10-7 record. Their season came to an end after losing to the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Philadelphia Eagles, with a score of 28-22.
