Actress Leslie Mann Wipes Out in Epic Surfing Fail (Video)

From the late nineties, through the early 2010s, Leslie Mann was a powerhouse in comedic cinema. Her résumé includes Big Daddy (1999), Knocked Up (2007), This Is 40 (2012), and many others.

Plus, it doesn’t hurt that she’s married to Judd Apatow, one of the most revered comedy directors in the game at the moment. So, getting his wife a leading role, or at least a cameo, isn’t too much of an ask.

But Mann, 53, is more than just an actor. She’s a mother of two daughters, who are blossoming into their own actors as their careers begin to take off. And…she surfs. Well, wake surfs.

In a new video, Mann is seen wake surfing behind a boat, doing quite well, when someone attempts to throw her the obligatory beer mid-ride. Why is that such a thing? Throwing beers to folks while they’re wake surfing? Anyway, getting sidetracked.

Mann catches the beer, cracks it open, attempts to take a sip, then gets tossed off balance and wipes out. A pretty epic one too. And yet, her celebrity friends were there to support her in the comments.

Maybe it’s best for Mann to keep the wake surfing as a side hustle. She’s great on camera. Like that one scene from 40 Year Old Virgin, where she gets behind the wheel, drunk as a skunk, swerving all over the place, nearly missing a car, then says:

“That f*cker came out of nowhere.”

We need more of that. Bring back comedies. What’re these celebrities doing, dicking around with surfing and surfing adjacent novelties? Get back to work.
