One of the best linebackers of the 2026 recruiting class has moved closer to deciding which helmet he’ll be wearing at the college level.
Da’Quives Beck, a four-star linebacker from Carthage, Texas, has reportedly narrowed his choices to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M.
Beck told Aggies reporter Jackson Calloway he will make his decision on July 1. He visited the A&M campus and facilities on June 13.

The a 6-foot-1, 205 pound linebacker helped Carthage win the Texas 4A D-II state championship as a junior last year. He is ranked among the nation’s top 10 linebackers, holding down No. 8 in the On3 Industry rankings, and No. 9 with 247Sports.
One of Beck’s high school teammates, running back KJ Edwards, just committed to the Aggies on Tuesday. Will Beck make it a Carthage-to-College Station pipeline?
One person on X is putting their money on Beck choosing A&M, saying “He’s choosing A&M. Who would want to live in the state of Oklahoma?”
