Alabama Gets Exciting News on No.1 WR in 2026

The Alabama Crimson Tide are still in the mix for the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2026 class, Tristen Keys, despite his commitment to the LSU Tigers. The five-star prospect out of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, is keeping his options open, with official visits lined up at Tennessee on June 13, Alabama on June 17, and LSU to close out the summer on June 20. The Miami Hurricanes are also still in the conversation, making this one of the most intriguing recruitments in the country.

Keys has been dominant at the high school level, racking up 58 receptions for 1,275 yards and 14 touchdowns last season while leading Hattiesburg to a 13-1 record. His combination of size (six-foot-three, 185 pounds), speed, and route-running ability makes him a nightmare for defenders, and he’s widely regarded as one of the most polished receivers in the 2026 class.

Despite his verbal commitment to LSU, there’s growing speculation that Alabama could make a serious push. The Crimson Tide have a strong track record of developing elite wide receivers, and Keys would fit perfectly into their system. His upcoming visit to Tuscaloosa will be crucial in determining whether Alabama can flip him from the Tigers.

Miami is also making a strong case, with Keys recently taking an official visit to Coral Gables. He praised the Hurricanes’ offense and coaching staff, saying they’ve done a great job making him feel like a priority.

With his final decision still up in the air, Keys is weighing his options carefully. LSU remains the favorite, but Alabama and Miami are making things interesting. His upcoming visits could be the deciding factor in where he ultimately calls home.
