Alabama GM Sends Strong Message After Recruiting Hot Streak

The Alabama Crimson Tide typically do a good job of bringing in top recruits. They had the No. 3-ranked 2025 recruiting class, according to 247Sports, which included three five-star recruits: QB Keelon Russel, IOL Michael Carroll and CB Dijon Lee Jr. While that is impressive, the team's 2026 class is already looking like it could be more impressive.

The Crimson Tide have already secured commitments from four five-star recruits, Edge Xavier Griffin, wide receiver Cederian Morgan, CB Jorden Edmonds and safety Jireh Edwards. While things can change in the coming months, it is certainly impressive that the Crimson Tide have secured commitments from so many highly rated recruits in next year's class.

Despite the team's recent recruiting hot streak, they want to continue to bring in other top players. On Tuesday, in an interview with On3, Alabama general manager Courtney Morgan weighed in on the team's recent hot streak.

"To us, it’s really not over until it’s over," Morgan said. "It’s good momentum but we also know we have to keep them until December.

While the Crimson Tide have an impressive group of top recruits, there is still room for improvement. Despite having four five-star recruits, the team only has the No. 5-ranked group of recruits in the 2026 class. The reason for this is the team is lacking in recruit depth. Many teams have 20+ top recruits, whereas the Crimson Tide only have nine four-star recruits in addition to their five-stars.
