Janzen Currie reported an offer from Alabama football on Wednesday.

Currie is a member of the 2029 recruiting class, and he attends Plainview High School in Rainsville, Alabama. His early offer list now includes offers from Alabama, Miami and Tennessee. The rising sophomore considers his Alabama offer to be a major milestone in his recruitment.

“It means a lot to have the team I grew up watching on TV, and dreaming of being a part of something like it, offer me,” Currie told Touchdown Alabama.

The Crimson Tide’s coaching staff is among the things Currie admires about the Alabama football program.

“It’s great,” Currie said. “They have amazing coaches and staff. Their facilities are extremely nice, also.”

At 6-foot-1 and 195 pounds, Currie shines on both sides of the football for Plainview as an explosive weapon on offense and a physical defender on defense. He will likely be a defensive back at the next level. He appears to have a great feel for the safety position.
