The Alabama Crimson Tide picked up their fourth win of the season on Saturday, defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores. They advanced to 4-1 overall and 2-0 in SEC matchups, while looking like true national championship contenders.
They did so in Tuscaloosa in front of several big-time recruits making game-day visits. One of those prospects is class of 2026 offensive tackle Jared Doughty, according to Rivals' Steve Wiltfong.
From Atlanta, Doughty has gained a lot of interest. Along with Alabama, Doughty has picked up offers from the Georgia Bulldogs, Ohio State Buckeyes, Florida State Seminoles and Auburn Tigers.
With so many high-powered schools looking to add the pass protector, it's clear he had a difficult decision to make.
However, on Sunday, Rivals' Hayes Fawcett reported Doughty made up his mind, committing to Alabama.

It's an exciting addition, as Rivals Industry Rankings place him as a three-star recruit, the No. 43 offensive tackle and the No. 591 player in the nation. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 305 pounds, per Fawcett, he already has impressive size.
"A lot of my family is from Tuscaloosa, and my mom is a really big fan," Doughty previously told Rivals' Chad Simmons. "If I went there, it would be a dream come true for her."
He adds to an already impressive 2026 recruiting class for Alabama. With Doughty, they now have 22 commitments, ranking No. 4 in the SEC and No. 7 in the nation, according to Rivals.
Adding Doughty was especially important, as he becomes the Crimson Tide's second offensive tackle in the cycle, joining three-star Bear Fretwell.
