All 30 Teams Current World Series Odds

Every month I dive into 2025's developing World Series odds to take the league's temperature — who sticks out at the price for you?

THE FAVORITES:

1. LA Dodgers: +280
2. NY Yankees: +500
3. PHI Phillies: + 800
4. NY Mets: + 850
5. DET Tigers: + 850

Not to be too much of a chalk donkey here but for now at least, it seems the big winner will come this top group. However, paying (+280) for any team to win the World Series in early June is nuts — I don't care how good the Dodgers are. And as much as I love my Yankees, this price feels like a bottom. If you're determined to bet the Bombers to win it all, exercise patience. 

THE BLOB:

1. CHI Cubs: + 1400
2. SEA Mariners: + 1700
3. HOU Astros: + 1800
4. MIN Twins: + 2000
5. ATL Braves: + 2800
6. SD Padres: + 2800

When attacking these broad-view, longshot markets this middle section's usually my Goldilocks spot — where the porridge is just right. These are all teams with promise and a prayer, whose odds could literally get lopped in half with a strong week of play. The Cubs' offense is my favorite in the bunch but I need to see them rectify at least some of their starting pitcher issues before expecting a run deep into October. If Seattle gets their rotation healthy, they can go toe-to-toe with anyone in a best of seven series. I'll be watching this group very closely...

Always the most fun to bet on, dreaming of the monster payout, there's one question to answer honestly. Does this team have the goods to go all the way? That generally entails a couple of front-line starters with a quality bullpen behind them — and at least a competent offense. 

Though I haven't pulled the trigger on any of these squads yet, I do love the Royals at the price. In the new expanded playoff format you don't need to win your division to capture the trophy — just squeak into the dance and let variance do its thing.
