Skull and Bones is all about ships and naval combat. There’s very little downtime for you to spend walking around ports in the game, and with its light crafting elements, it’s in your best interest to find/build the best ships as fast as possible. The ocean is vast, but you won’t have to rummage around too much looking for ship blueprints with this guide.

If you’re playing Skull and Bones, you need to get these ten ships as soon as possible. Most of these vessels can be bought from vendors and then crafted, but you'll need to be at a certain Infamy rank before doing so. This is how you can get every ship in the game.

Skull and Bones: How To Get Every Ship

Hullbreaker Brigantine

The Hullbreaker Brigantine is a great endgame vessel and the fastest one at that. It’s also one of the strongest that will carry you till the next batch of content drops. To get the ship, all you need to do is reach the “Cutthroat” Infamy rank and get the blueprint from the Ruined Lighthouse. You’ll need the following materials to build it:

  • 2 Sheet Glass
  • 2 Torsion Spring
  • 4 Shellac
  • 4 Crude Saltpeter
  • 12 Magnetite Ingot
  • 13 Greenheart Plank
  • 14 Roselle Cloth

Pyromaniac Sambuk

The Pyromaniac Sambuk is one of the most expensive ships in Skull and Bones, but it lives up to its cool name. Like the Hullbreaker Brigantine, you’ll need to reach the “Cutthroat” Infamy rank to get the ship, which you can only do so from the black market. Even then, it will require 5000 units of Eight, which is a rare currency in the game. Use these materials to craft it:

  • 1 Eel’s Twine
  • 2 Torsion Spring
  • 4 Wood Tar
  • 4 Cogwheel
  • 12 Roselle Cloth
  • 15 Greenheart Plant
  • 15 Magnetite Ingot

Vanguard Snow

The Vanguard Snow is a higher-tier ship that leans towards the defensive side but can still dish out some serious damage. If you want like the grind, then you’ll need to reach the “Corsair” rank before being able to buy it at the Khmoy Estate. Unlike other ships, you can also get it by completing a main quest called “Nightfall Missives”. These are the materials required to craft the ship:

  • 2 Sheet Glass
  • 2 Screw Mechanism
  • 12 Zinc Ingot
  • 12 Fine Abaca
  • 12 Juniper Plank
  • 12 Steel Ingot
  • 13 Ironwood Plank

Sentinel Cutter

The Sentinel Cutter is a great support-class ship, with a smooth design that can be picked up from Lanitra after reaching the "Rover" Infamy rank. Use these materials to craft the ship:

  • 6 Iroko Planks
  • 6 Bronze Ingots
  • 12 Fine Jute

Firebrand Barge

The Firebrand Barge, as the name suggests, is great for spreading fire towards your enemies. When facing multiple hostiles, its increased DPS focus comes in handy. You can get the blueprint for the Firebrand Barge from the Corrup Compagnie Officer in Kaa Mangrove. Just make sure you’ve reached the “Buccaneer” infamy rank before attempting to buy it. The ship blueprint costs 4950 Silver and requires the following items to craft it:

  • 2700 Silver
  • 4 Cobalt Ingots
  • 4 Fine Linens
  • 8 Fine Hemp
  • 8 Mopane Planks

Bombardier Padewakang

The Padewakang has moderate stats in terms of reliability, gun power and customizable slots, and it's the first major ship upgrade you'll get in the game. You'll first need to navigate to Telok Penjarah and then buy the blueprints from the shipwright's store for 5280 silver. After that, you can build the ship with the following materials:

  • 4 Shellac 4 Crude Saltpeter
  • 2880 Silver
  • 15 Steel Ingot
  • 15 Fine Ramie
  • 19 Ironwood Plank

Blaster Sloop

The Blaster Sloop is a nice upgrade over the starter ships in the game that can be earned by finishing The Devil’s Gambit mission. It can also be bought for 4950 Silver in the Sunken Goldmine if you've reached the "Buccanner" Infamy rank. You'll need these materials to craft it:

  • 4 Lime
  • 4 Casting Sand
  • 8 Fine Hemp
  • 8 Cobalt Ingots

Defender Hulk

It's got Hulk in its name, of course, it’s strong. The Defender Hulk has a rigid hull, which is great for stability. It’s not a ship your enemies would want to mess with, and it’s one of the better-looking ships in the early game. The Defender Hulk ship can be purchased from the Sacred Tree settlement, and you’ll need to reach the “Rover” infamy rank to get it. Toc raft the Defender Hulk, you’ll need the following:

  • 6 Bronze Ingots
  • 6 Iroko Planks
  • 12 Fine Jute

Rammer Bedar

The Rammer Bedar is the first ship you can craft in the game, but that doesn't mean it's something to scoff at. You don't need to reach any rank to unlock this, so craft it as soon as the tutorial is over with the following:

  • 8 Bog Iron
  • 10 Acacia
  • 20 Jute

Exeter’s Jolly Dhow

You know what they say - any ship is better than no ship. The Exter's Jolly is not a ship, it's a boat. But hey, it can get you from one place to another. It's also the first boat you get after the bombastic opening sequence, so cherish your memories with it before bidding it adieu.

Skull and Bones is out now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
