One of the key aspects that makes college football great is the rivalries, with teams typically having one opponent that their fans want to beat for bragging rights. Some teams have numerous rivals, with the Alabama Crimson Tide one of those.
The Athletic's Scott Dochterman has ranked the top-25 rivalries in college football , and the Crimson Tide has three games on the list. They were one of three teams that had three games on the list, with the Michigan Wolverines and the Oklahoma Sooners the others. However, the famous Iron Bowl between Alabama and the Auburn Tigers was not No. 1.
The Iron Bowl was ranked behind the Michigan-Ohio State Buckeyes rivalry at No. 2, which is a fair assessment, given the significance of both rivalry games. Alabama also had two other games in the top 25. At No. 11, the game against the Tennessee Volunteers, and not far behind at No. 13, the rivalry with the LSU Tigers.
The Crimson Tide will play big rival Auburn, as they do every season during Rivalry Week, on November 29. However, they will also face LSU and Tennessee this season, so it promises to be a fun season of rivalries for the fans.
They also have the Georgia Bulldogs on the schedule, which has become a big game, especially over the past decade, as both teams consistently compete for the SEC Championship. Another big game for the 2025 season is against the Vanderbilt Commodores, thanks to quarterback Diego Pavia's recent comments and the famous loss last season.
It's set to be a fun season for the Crimson Tide fans, with three of those games at the Bryant-Denny Stadium.
