Arizona’s recruiting quietly gained momentum in early July as the Wildcats secured a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Keytrin Harris.

The Chandler, Arizona native, standing 6‑4 and weighing 305 pounds, brings a powerful interior presence to the defense and marks another win for DL coach Joe Salave’a’s revamped front‑seven strategy.

Ranked as the No. 50 defensive lineman in the 2026 class and the No. 5 in‑state prospect by 247Sports, Harris chose Arizona over offers from Missouri, California, UCLA, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, and Texas A&M, among others. His decision comes shortly after being rated as a high three‑star recruit by 247Sports and a four-star prospect by Rivals.

Harris transferred to Compass Prep in Arizona after starting his junior year with Narbonne in California. He impressed program evaluators with his explosive play off the snap, ability to anchor the line with leverage, and a motor that never stops. His film shows a defender who can hold ground against double teams and collapse gaps with ease.

Arizona Desert Swarm reports that Harris committed within minutes of Manoah Faupusa, another DL pledge, giving Arizona back‑to‑back additions to its line. These moves are part of a broader effort under Salave’a to correct last season’s run defense struggles.

The Wildcats now have 19 known pledges in the class and continue to build depth up front with a mix of size, power, and athleticism. Harris’s local roots and body type make him an ideal fit at either three‑tech or nose guard, adding competition and flexibility early in his timeline.

With Harris in the mix, Arizona’s defensive line surge is gaining traction. His earliest opportunity to compete will emerge next winter ahead of spring ball, and he is a name to watch as the Wildcats refocus on stopping the run in a new era of Wildcat football.
