It’s the battle for the Territorial Cup, and it’s big for a Sun Devil team looking to get into the Big 12 Championship.

So what’s the Big 12 Championship scenario for Arizona State?

Win this, and it’ll take a miracle to not be in - BYU, Kansas, Kansas State, TCU, and West Virginia all have to lose. But forgetting all of that, ASU wants to close Arizona’s season with a thud.

The Wildcats woke up in a win over Houston, but with bowl eligibility still alive, it all went bye-bye in a blowout loss to TCU. As bad as the first year has been under Brent Brennan, beating ASU and screwing up its CFP dream would be sweet.

Arizona State vs Arizona: Who Will Win?

Arizona doesn’t have the run defense or the ground game to make up for any mistakes, so it’s going to fire away and keep throwing. But it’s that rushing attack that matters.

The Wildcats are 4-0 when the run for 121 yards or more, 0-7 when they don’t, and part of the reason is an offensive front that allows way too many plays behind the line.

Arizona State doesn’t have a problem getting thrown on, the offense doesn’t turn it over enough to matter, and it’ll still come down to the final two drives as the Wildcat passing attack hits a few big shots in the second half to stay in the game.

But when the Sun Devils have to buckle down over the final two drives, the defense will finally get the stops needed in a blast of a battle.
