Just a few hours before their Serie A meeting at San Siro, Kristjan Asllani has officially joined Torino from Inter.

Albania international Asllani has completed an initial loan move to Torino from Inter.

Asllani joins Torino: official Inter statement

“Kristjan Asllani has transferred from FC Internazionale Milano to Torino FC,” Inter said in a statement.

“The midfielder, born in 2002, has moved on loan until the end of the season with the Granata having the option to buy the player.”

Inter and Torino will meet at the Stadio Meazza tonight in their Serie A opener, but Asllani won’t be available for the Granata, as their coach, Marco Baroni, said at a press conference on Sunday.

Asllani’s Serie A career

Asllani, 23, is a product of the Empoli academy who joined Inter for €15.7m in the summer of 2023.

The Albanian midfielder made 99 Inter appearances, including 19 in the Champions League, scoring four goals and providing five assists.

He has played 88 Serie A games with Inter and Napoli.

According to multiple Italian sources, Inter have earned €1.5m for Asllani’s one-season loan, and Torino have an option to buy for €12m, which can be activated in 2026.
