Embarrassing LIV Golf graphic posted online

LIV Golf was already having a rough week with Brooks Koepka and Patrick Reed deciding to return to the PGA Tour, but the rival golf league made it even worse with a promotion blunder you have to see to believe.

On Wednesday morning, Fox Sports posted a head-scratching graphic for the 2026 LIV Golf season on social media.

Somehow, three players' names were misspelled in the image, and that might not even be the most embarrassing part of the graphic.

Fox Sports quickly deleted the post, but you can still see it below after it was shared on X by Monday Q Info, a golf site with a significant following. It’s hard to believe it’s real.

First of all, why is CEO and commissioner Scott O'Neil front and center, taking up the most space in the graphic? Casual golf fans have no idea who O'Neil is, but this graphic portrays him as the star of LIV Golf.

Upon closer inspection, the last names of golfers Dustin Johnson, Martin Kaymer and Phil Mickelson are spelled wrong on the official LIV Golf promo graphic. These aren't just stars and team captains on LIV — they're major champions and golf legends. Johnson, Kaymer and Mickelson are three of the foremost players on the Saudi-backed tour.

In addition, Lee Westwood, the co-captain of Majesticks GC, didn't make the cut for the graphic. Every other team captain is depicted, but Westwood wasn't included for some reason.

LIV Golf is still trying to prove to the golf world that it's a serious entity and a true competitor to the PGA Tour, and Fox Sports signed a multi-year broadcast rights partnership with the rival tour to help grow the league. If neither side is going to take easy tasks like promo graphics seriously, why should fans respect their product?

The answer is quite simple, really — they shouldn't.
