On Tuesday, the Atlanta Braves released their schedule for 2026.
#Braves announced their 2026 schedule. It opens at Truist Park against the Royals on March 26. It's just the 3rd time they've opened at home since the ballpark opened in 2017. They're home for Memorial Day, Independence Day & Fathers Day weekends, but finish on the road in Miami. pic.twitter.com/SmDQiU2UAD

After starting the 2025 campaign on a brutal west coast road trip, featuring matchups with the Padres and Dodgers, the Braves will begin 2026 at Truist Park for the first time since 2022. It will be a six-game homestand that kicks off with the Kansas City Royals. Interestingly enough, all six of those games will be against American League foes, and 12 of the Braves first 15 games will feature an AL opponent.
Looking ahead, Atlanta will play host to a juicy July 4th series against the Mets, which caps off perhaps the most difficult stretch of the season. From June 9th to July 4th, the Braves will play the Cubs, Mets (twice), Giants (twice), Padres, and Brewers.
Not long ago, MLB went to fewer divisional games, which allowed teams to play everybody at least one time. That’s been a fantastic development for baseball, but my only gripe is that there should be more divisional games in the final month. It’s criminal that the Braves will play the Mets for the final time in August. At the very least, every divisional opponent should be on the schedule at least once in September.
