After going 1-1 over Labor Day weekend, the Wisconsin Badgers volleyball team played their third home match of the year on Thursday night, this time against unranked UC Davis. Wisconsin swept the Aggies 25-23, 26-24, 25-15 and rode the momentum of an eight point comeback during the second set.

The first set was tightly contested, tied at 22 before Wisconsin closed it out with a trio of clutch plays, a kill from transfer middle blocker Allie Andrews, an ace from Addy Horner, and a back-row finish by Mimi Colyer. Despite six service errors, the Badgers held on for the 25-23 win

To begin the second set, the Aggies got off to a hot start, leading 16-8 at one point. The Badgers then used two separate 5-0 runs to overcome the eight point deficit, winning 26-24, with the final point coming off a replay review which showed Colyer did not touch the ball.

After riding the high of that comeback, the Badgers took care of businesses in the third to earn their first sweep of the season. A 6-0 run to begin that set helped Wisconsin cruise to a 25-15 victory.

Colyer led the Badgers with 13 kills, followed by Grace Egan with 10, and Andrews with eight. Setter Charlie Fuerbringer tallied 33 assists. Wisconsin cleaned up their serving after the opening set, finishing with 10 total errors on the night.
