Bangladesh Set to Host Pakistan for July T20I Series

Bangladesh have confirmed the schedule for their upcoming home T20I series against Pakistan, with all 3 matches set to be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The series will run from July 20 to July 24.

The two sides will meet again in less than 2 months, having recently completed a 3-match T20I series in Pakistan earlier this month.

That series ended in a clean sweep for the hosts, with Pakistan claiming a dominant 3–0 victory. Bangladesh, now playing in familiar conditions, will be eager to bounce back and restore pride.

The fixtures are scheduled for July 20, 22, and 24 all in Dhaka. The series is seen as a crucial opportunity for both teams to fine-tune their squads in sub continental conditions ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year.

Given the nature of T20 cricket and the high stakes of global tournaments, every game offers a chance to experiment with strategy and combinations. For Bangladesh, the series will come on the heels of a packed schedule.

The team is currently touring Sri Lanka for an all-format series featuring 2 Tests, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is.

The opening Test in Galle ended in a draw, while the 2nd Test in Colombo is underway, marking the start of Bangladesh’s new ICC World Test Championship campaign.

Despite the tight turnaround, the Bangladesh squad will be motivated to deliver strong performances on home soil. The familiarity of conditions at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla Stadium, often considered a fortress for the Tigers, could give them an edge.

Pakistan, on the other hand, will look to carry forward the momentum from their recent win and continue building a consistent core of players in the T20 format.

With both sides eyeing next year’s World Cup, the series is expected to be competitive and strategically significant.
