The Chicago Bears have been busy on the second day of the 2025 NFL Draft. After selecting WR Luther Burden III with the 39th overall pick, the Bears made a deal to move back from their 41st selection with the Buffalo Bills.
The Bears traded the 41st pick (second round), 72nd pick (third round), and 240th pick (seventh round) to the Bills for the 56th pick (second round), 62nd pick (second round), and 109th pick (fourth round). The Bears moved off a seventh and third to gain an additional second-round pick and acquire a fourth-round pick. The Bears still have a fifth-round pick and seventh-round pick as well on the third day.

With the 56th overall pick, the Bears selected OT Ozzy Trapilo out of Boston College.
Trapilo played both left and right tackle in his time at Boston College, allowing him to be a day-one swing tackle for the Bears. At 6'8", Trapilo's massive frame makes him an imposing force at the position. Although some questions exist around his hands and lower mobility, he's an overall athletic option at tackle that can move people in the run game.

Trapilo is every bit the prototype of an NFL offensive tackle. Towering at 6'8" and 315 pounds with exceptional length, he’s an imposing force on any offensive line. But what sets him apart isn’t just his size—it’s what he can do… pic.twitter.com/jMANKIP90C
Trapilo was a borderline top-15 tackle in this draft, meaning the Bears have upgraded the position with three tackles on day one and two over the last three seasons. With that in mind, it also likely spells the end of Braxton Jones' tenure in Chicago following the 2025 season.
