Beau Greaves defeats Aileen de Graaf, wins seventh consecutive PDC Women's Series at Event 18 in Milton Keynes

After Beau Greaves already managed to win the PDC Women's Series 17 Saturday afternoon by defeating Fallon Sherrock in the final, the 21-year-old also won the eighteenth event tonight. 'Beau 'n Arrow' was this time 5-2 too strong for the Dutch Aileen de Graaf in the final.

Greaves began her run to the final with a 4-1 victory over Sally Whiting at the last 128. She then succeeded in beating Karolina, Ratajska (4-0), Deta Hedman (4-0), Kim Holden (4-1), Denise Cassidy (5-2) and Gemma Hayter (5-1) to force a duel with Aileen de Graaf in the final.

In turn, De Graaf managed to open her series with a 4-0 win over compatriot Kyana Frauenfelder. She then dealt with Lauryn Salter (4-1), Robyn Byrne (4-1), Lorraine Hyde (4-2), Lisa Ashton (5-2) and Vicky Pruim (5-0) to reach the final.

In that particular final, things were pretty even at the beginning of the match. De Graaf led 1-0, then saw Greaves win two legs to turn it around and then took the fourth leg himself to bring the score back to 2-2. Then, as expected, it was Greaves who stepped up and won three legs in a row to win the match 5-2.

With this victory, Greaves has now won 12 of the 18 tournaments on the PDC Women's Series, and in the process she has now set a streak of 45 matches won. The next two events are scheduled for Sunday afternoon, and it remains to be seen if anyone can stop the 21-year-old world champion.
