The New York Knicks surprised millions of NBA fans when they announced the firing of former head coach Tom Thibodeau shortly after the 2025 NBA Playoffs, especially considering the Knicks' success in relation to past seasons.
The Knicks got rid of a coach who turned around and ailing team and delivered playoff runs that fans will remember for years to come in the Big Apple.
On Wednesday, the Knicks announced the hiring of former Cavaliers, Lakers and Kings coach Mike Brown, causing Knicks superfan and co-star of the upcoming 'Happy Gilmore 2' Netflix movie Ben Stiller to react in candid fashion on X.
"Let's go," Stiller wrote on his X account with three raised fist emojis Wednesday, following the Brown news.

Stiller was courtside for the Knicks' playoff games and became a target of the wrath of former Colts punter and Indiana Pacers fan Pat McAfee, who roasted him and fellow Knicks celebrity fan Timothee Chalamet.
The Knicks made it to the Eastern Conference Finals but weren't able to get over the hump against Tyrese Haliburton, Myles Turner, Obi Toppin and the Pacers as they watched their Eastern Conference rivals head to the NBA Finals to play the eventual champion Oklahoma City Thunder.
Thibodeau's playing rotation was strongly questioned last season as he did not play as many players as many Knicks fans hoped.
The addition of Brown gives New York a media-savvy coach who knows how to handle the bright lights of the big city, giving fans hope for a better outcome in 2025-26.
