The first two picks that the Cincinnati Bengals made in the 2025 NFL Draft were on the defensive side of the ball, and their first offensive draft pick came in the third round.

They selected Georgia guard Dylan Fairchild with the 81st pick of the draft in order to improve their offensive line. In a recent interview with the Bengals' two offensive line captains, Orlando Brown Jr. and Ted Karras, they told the media what they thought of the new addition to the line.

"There's reason they took him in the third round, and gave him the opportunity to be the guy at left guard," Brown said. "For his size he's got a unique body in terms of his length, height, strength. In college, playing as well as he did in the SEC, and how consistent he was, it's what made him a hot commodity."

"I think he's done a great job so far," Karras said. "We're two days in working with him. Made of the right stuff, played at a big-time program, and seems to be kind of a physical specimen. Excited to have him."

Bengals superstar Joe Burrow was the fourth-most sacked quarterback in the NFL in 2024, so the team should be looking to do everything in their power to make sure that he stays upright.

Fairchild can certainly help with that.

He played in all 14 games for the Bulldogs in his junior and senior seasons, which shows that he knows how to avoid injury and stay on the field. He also won two championships in his time there, which means he knows what it takes to win.

The Bengals missed the playoffs in 2024, so Fairchild will be looking to help them get back their winning ways in his rookie season.
