Kelley Ford has released his 2025 schedule difficulty rankings for the 2025 college football season. And the Big 12 Conference didn’t have a team ranked in the Top 35 of most-difficult schedules in college football.
The rankings are based on how many wins the No. 12 power-rated team would win against a given team’s regular season schedule, based on the KFord Ratings.
The first Big 12 school to show up on the rankings is the Baylor Bears, coming in at No. 38. That started a run on Big 12 schools, with Oklahoma State at No. 41, TCU at No. 45, Colorado at No. 49 and Cincinnati at No. 51 to round out the Top 5 toughest Big 12 schedules based on the KFord ratings system.
According to KFord, the easiest schedule in the Big 12 this season is BYU, coming in at No. 66. That’s followed by Texas Tech at No. 63, Houston at No. 62, Kansas State at No. 61 and Arizona State at No. 60.
While the Big 12 is wide-open in 2025, those with the perceived easiest schedules are filled with multiple contenders, including all the above five teams, sans Houston.
Here’s a look at the full rankings.

As we head into the 2025 Big 12 football season, one thing is clear: this league is deeper, more unpredictable, and more wide-open than arguably ever before. The Big 12 had all of its teams ranked between No. 38 and No. 66, signaling that these team’s schedules are not separated by much.
The reigning champion Arizona State Sun Devils will try to repeat as Big 12 champions for the first time in the league since Oklahoma did it in 2020.
