The rematch that everyone was hoping for is now set for New Year's Day in what promises to be an instant classic between the No. 1 Oregon Ducks and the No. 8 Ohio State Buckeyes on a neutral field with massive implications.

The two teams previously faced off in Eugene, Oregon, a couple of months ago in a thrilling 32-31 game, which ended with a dramatic last-minute victory for the Ducks.

Now, everything comes full circle. The two teams will meet once again with much more on the line as they compete in the historic Rose Bowl for a coveted spot in the College Football Playoff semifinals, where the winner will face the victor of Notre Dame vs. Georgia.

Oregon earned a first-round bye after finishing the regular season as the only undefeated team in the FBS, capping off their perfect campaign with a major victory over Penn State in the Big Ten Championship Game.

However, their toughest test of the season came against Ohio State in what was widely considered the biggest win in the program's history. Now, the Buckeyes are seeking redemption, while the Ducks are determined to prove why this is their year to capture their first-ever national championship.
