Big Ten Week 2 Schedule, Odds, & Predictions: A Dangerous Week for the Conference

The Big Ten had a strong opening.

It went 16-2, with the two defeats coming in a Northwestern clunker on the road to Tulane, and a UCLA blasting from what appears to be a brilliant Utah squad.

Ohio State beat Texas. Purdue pitched a shutout against Ball State. Wisconsin shut out Miami University. USC looked amazing against Missouri State. Nebraska survived Cincinnati. There wasn't anything too wild about any of that, but it was still a good overall showing.

Now the real work begins.

UCLA has to go to UNLV. Michigan State has a 50/50 game against Boston College, Illinois has to deal with a MUCH-better-than-you-think Duke on the road, and forget the spread, Oregon can't just roll out of bed and beat Oklahoma State.

And then there are the marquee games. Iowa goes to Iowa State, Michigan goes to Oklahoma, and with that, spread among the layups and paycheck games in the mix, makes this one interesting Week 2 for the Big Ten.
