Max Verstappen is widely regarded as arguably the best pure racer in all of motorsports. Kyle Larson, among others, may have something to say about that, but it does fuel a great debate. Who is better across all avenues of motorsport — Max Verstappen or Kyle Larson? As fans hope to see them compete at some point, Verstappen does tease some non-F1 interests.
During a Bahrain testing session, Verstappen participated in a media session. This unveiled great quotes, which featured Verstappen stating, "I am, of course, also exploring other things outside of Formula 1 to have fun at." This comes amid concerns about regulation and claims that the F1 car is getting less fun.
We have a @FordRacing cup car ready to go. Feel free to DM when you’re ready Max https://t.co/h0fmkSgKiB

After Red Bull Racing Daily posted a recent PlanetF1 article on this matter, Brad Keselowski caught wind of it on X. This prompted the RFK part-owner to send a shot in the dark to Verstappen. "We have a @FordRacing car ready." We would love to see Verstappen take a stab at stock car racing. Though much of a long shot to happen anytime soon, it could eventually happen.
Formula 1 drivers taking to NASCAR is uncommon. However, it has been seen. Juan Pablo Montoya is a popular example, having won two career Cup Series races. Other drivers, such as Kimi Raikkonen and Jenson Button, have also taken the green flag in recent years.
When it comes to Red Bull in motorsports, Verstappen is the face of the brand. In fact, Verstappen would probably be considered their top athlete overall. For years, Red Bull has seldom been involved in NASCAR. Now that Connor Zilisch is representing the logo, they are in the Series with Trackhouse Racing.
If Verstappen ever came to NASCAR, this would be the perfect fit. Trackhouse is an innovative, more internationally driven team. They have Zilisch with the Red Bull brand, and the New Zealander Shane Van Gisbergen is doing the same. The team often adds a fourth car to races, in which Verstappen could sit.
On the contrary, here, teams would vie for Verstappen in a big way. Brad Keselowski displayed that very clearly with his X post today. "DM when you're ready," Keselowski says. They have a Ford car waiting for him to burn some rubber. Logically, Trackhouse is the favorite should Verstappen show up in the United States. They will not be the only contender.
Now, if Verstappen ever came to NASCAR, it would obviously not be a full-time job. He would run one part-time race, just like many have done. Some possible tracks to do this would include the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Daytona 500, or any road course where he would be better suited.
The speculation here is more hopeful than anything. For Verstappen to make the crossover would take a lot of negotiation and meticulous inner workings. Given his non-F1 explorations, anything is possible. We know that NASCAR would welcome the star to the track.
