Bryce Mitchell Gets Into Nasty Exchange With Heated Rival

The wild world of fight promotion just got even wilder. Forget the usual trash talk about fight records, training camps, and knockouts—at the UFC 314 press conference, things took a turn for the bizarre when the conversation veered into the age-old conspiracy debate: is the Earth round or flat?

Of all places, a major fight card buildup became the battleground for one of the internet’s most relentless arguments. And, of course, chaos followed.

It's no secret that tensions between Bryce Mitchell and Jean Silva have been boiling over. Their featherweight clash in Miami, Florida, was already shaping up to be a grudge match, but when Mitchell’s well-documented flat Earth theories resurfaced, Silva saw an opportunity to get inside his opponent’s head. Knowing exactly how to press Mitchell’s buttons, Silva walked into the press conference armed with a full-sized globe—a perfectly round one, just to drive the point home.

What followed was complete disorder—barking, howling, and an explosion of back-and-forth insults, with both fighters throwing verbal jabs at each other, escalating the tension to a boiling point. Despite the verbal warfare intensifying, the chaos reached a fever pitch with neither fighter backing down.

One thing is for sure: UFC 314 isn’t just delivering fights, it’s delivering theater. And we haven’t even touched on the main event yet.
