This Wednesday, Dec. 24, marks the first matchday of the Africa Cup of Nations, and Cameroon makes its debut in the tournament by facing Gabon at Le Grand Stade Agadir in Agadir at 3:00 p.m. ET, 12:00 a.m. PT.

Both teams share space in Group F with the Ivory Coast and Mozambique.

Cameroon is coming off a competitive final preparation stretch, having drawn 0-0 with Angola on Oct. 13. Before that, they defeated Mauritius 2-0 on Oct. 8.

Gabon, for its part, does not arrive at the tournament in high spirits, as it has not won a match since Oct. 14, when it defeated Burundi 2-0.

Their recent matches include a 0-0 draw against Ivory Coast on Sep. 9 and a 4-1 loss to Nigeria after extra time on Nov. 13.

Currently, Cameroon occupies 57th place in the FIFA ranking, while Gabon occupies 78th place, so it is clear that the first-mentioned team is the favorite.

Here is all the key pre-match information, including how and where to watch live, team news, and predicted lineups.
