Canada will face Guatemala this Saturday, January 17, at 10:00 p.m. ET, 7:00 p.m. PT, at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for an international friendly.

Canada's last two matches were a 0-0 draw against Ecuador on Nov. 13, 2025, and a 2-0 victory against Venezuela on Nov. 18.

For its part, Guatemala lost 2-3 to Panama on Nov. 13 and won 3-1 against Suriname on Nov. 18, both matches corresponding to the World Cup Qualifiers.

"In a rematch of the 2025 Gold Cup quarter-finals, which featured an impressive upset from Guatemala on penalties, revenge won’t be at the front of mind for Canadians; however, their focus lies on continuing to prepare for the start of the 2026 World Cup," wrote Alexandre Gangue-Ruzic for OneSoccer.
