Celtics should bounce back strong vs. the Heat

The postseason rolls on, and so too do our betting looks for each game. If your first stop was Bark Bets yesterday, you likely had a good night watching the Warriors cover and the over easily hit in the Battle of Alberta.

It's a new day, and we have a trio of Game 2s to enjoy tonight.

Boston looks to even series against Miami - Tuesday's result was to be expected for the Celtics, with Boston coming off a physical seven-game series and quickly starting a new one with the Heat. The absence of Marcus Smart and Al Horford didn't help, as the Heat poured on a massive third quarter to take control. In Game 2, with Smart expected back, we like the Celtics to take a game on the road before heading home. Smart's impact can't be overlooked, especially seeing how ineffective Derrick White was as the starter in his stead. Back Boston to cover the +3.5, and the +140 moneyline has some nice value too.

Florida Panthers find themselves in a must-win game - Can you really call a Game 2 in a best-of-seven series a must-win? We'd argue yes. Florida dropping both games at home to start a series against the two-time defending champs would be an extremely difficult hole to climb out of. The Panthers netted just one goal in Game 1 and need to up their scoring to take a game here. While we're not overly confident in the final result being favorable for Florida, we do like the idea of more goals than we saw in Game 1. We'll be betting on the over tonight at 6.5 goals, and we'll roll with the most consistent shooter on the Panthers to put the puck in the net in Aleksander Barkov at +120.

Expect a big win from Colorado tonight - Game 1 between the Blues and Avalanche went to overtime, and when you dig in to the shot volume from both sides, it's quite astounding it took overtime for Colorado to get a third goal. St. Louis goaltender Jordan Binnington had a fantastic night, finishing with 51 saves. While that performance is to be lauded, it also highlights how dominant this Colorado offense is. With 54 total shots to just 25 from the Blues, we like the floodgates to open tonight for the Avalanche. Roll with the puckline here for Colorado (-1.5). If you're looking for some value in a goal scorer, we recommend star defenseman Cale Makar, who continues to get pucks on net. His odds to score are +205 tonight.

In other news ...

PGA Championship tees off today - The second major of the year has officially begun with the start of the PGA Championship Thursday morning. You can still lock in your bets for both winners and various placements such as top five, top 10 or top 20. One value bet we're seeing is on Brooks Koepka, who has had his share of major success in his career. Koepka is +4000 to win this weekend. If you want to back confidence, one bettor placed $20,000 on Tiger Woods winning the PGA Championship at 60-1. That would be quite the payday.

Wednesday's Game 1 results shift odds - Wednesday brought with it a blowout victory for Golden State, an overtime win for Carolina and a huge win for Calgary at home. Of the three losing teams here, the future we like the most has to be with Luka Doncic and the Mavericks. This team similarly dropped the first two games of Round 2 and proved its capability at climbing out of a hole. The Mavs are now +330 to advance to the Finals, odds worth a look before the series heads to Dallas.

Philadelphia Eagles make another splash - In the NFL, one team has continued to pile up acquisitions to reshape a roster that has quickly become one of the more complete teams in the NFC. After trading for A.J. Brown on draft night and rehauling much of their defense, the Philadelphia Eagles' additions continued Wednesday with the signing of Pro Bowl corner James Bradberry. Bradberry joins fellow Pro Bowler Darius Slay in what is now a menacing secondary. We like what the Eagles have been doing, and at +190 to win the NFC East, that's a bet worth placing if you can be patient.
