Clemson vs Boston College Prediction: Can the Tigers Keep It Going?

This isn't a bad situation for Clemson.

It got past the rough 1-3 start with an easy win over North Carolina to stop the skid, and now there's a shot to get moving.

This might be a primetime game, but it's on the ACC Network, it's off the grid, and the team has to take advantage of the situation with three home games in a road and four in the next five.

Boston College looked like it was about to be a thing with the offense moving at will in Week 2 against Michigan State, but it lost in overtime, dropped three straight winnable games, and now, at 1-4, it has to get hot.

This starts a stretch of five home games in the next six, but none of them are easy.

The midrange passing game is solid, but the accuracy has gone, and the mistakes are flowing, with eight turnovers in the last three games. With no running game to worry about, the Clemson defense will tee off.

Why Boston College Will Win

Clemson can't run the ball with any consistency.

It moved just fine against Syracuse, but couldn't go anywhere against North Carolina. And yes, Boston College has a fumbling problem and a turnover issue overall, but the Tigers should be good for at least two giveaways.

Somehow, the Eagles have to find the quick-hitting passing game again. The timing has to be perfect, and it's been off just enough to matter. Clemson is giving up well over 200 passing yards per game.

It's 0-3 when allowing more than 305 yards of total offense, and Boston College has only been under 375 yards once.

Can Clemson Be Good Again?

Boston College will be a bit more dangerous at home, but it's coming off a few awful, uneven performances.

Clemson won't do anything sensational, but it'll come up with a good pace and take advantage of the empty Eagle drives to get up in the first half.

It won't be a wipeout, but the Tigers will maintain control in the second half by staying steadily ahead.
