To win the national championship in 2024 and beyond, teams will have to run a more comprehensive gauntlet than in years past.
The postseason format will expand to 12 teams, including, as of right now, a rankings system that features the six highest-ranked conference champions followed by six at-large teams.
But that format is expected to change somewhat now after the destruction of the Pac-12, although what that looks like is something the committee is still working out.
The highest four ranked seeds will receive a first-round bye into the quarterfinal round, while the first-round games will be played on campus.
