College Football Picks: Expert Predictions for Every Game in Week 9

Week 9 of the 2025 college football season features 49 games from Thursday, Oct. 23 through Saturday night on Oct. 25. Athlon Sports is back with predictions and picks for every contest.

The ninth full weekend of the '25 season started with Kennesaw State and Western Kentucky picking up victories on Tuesday night. And in Wednesday Conference USA action, Missouri State defeated New Mexico State, while Delaware knocked off Middle Tennessee. The action continues with one contest on Thursday, with Georgia State hosting South Alabama. Three contests are slated for Friday, with North Texas-Charlotte, California-Virginia Tech, and Boise State-Nevada headlining the action.

A loaded schedule of games is on tap for Saturday this week. UCLA-Indiana, Ole Miss-Oklahoma, Virginia-North Texas, South Florida-Memphis, Northwestern-Nebraska, Kansas State-Kansas, and Auburn-Arkansas headline the top contests in the first window. The afternoon slate includes Alabama-South Carolina, Missouri-Vanderbilt, BYU-Iowa State, Illinois-Washington, Minnesota-Iowa, NC State-Pitt, Baylor-Cincinnati, and Texas-Mississippi State.
