Conor McGregor offers blunt take on Jake Paul’s fight with Gervonta Davis

Conor McGregor expresses both ‘curiosity’ and ‘indifference’ regarding Jake Paul’s upcoming fight.

On November 14, the social media star, who has transitioned into boxing, is scheduled to take on WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis.

Jake Paul, who stands at 6ft 1in, will take a significant size advantage into the exhibition against ‘Tank’, who is listed as just 5ft 5in.

Davis usually competes at around the 135lb mark, while ‘The Problem Child’ has weighed as much as 227lbs during his professional boxing career.

A lot of fans have called Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis a mismatch designed to draw in viewers rather than put on a real contest.

And while McGregor and Paul have not exactly been friendly over the years, his comments on the fight were more measured than you might expect.

Speaking to DAZN Boxing, the Irishman said: “I don’t know what to make of it, to be honest.”

He continued: “Somewhat similar to the [Mike] Tyson bout. I’m indifferent to it.”

“Be curious to see [but] I’m not invested in it.

“I’ll watch on X. I’ll watch the highlights on X [laughs hysterically].”

Conor McGregor suspended from MMA

McGregor has been handed an 18-month suspension for breaching the UFC’s anti-doping policy.

The ban is not due to a failed test, but rather because McGregor missed three scheduled appointments with anti-doping officials. It is a procedural issue, not a positive result.

His suspension is backdated to September 20, 2024.

This means he will not be eligible to fight until 20 March 2026. On the other hand, there is still time for McGregor to headline the UFC event at the White House in June that year.
