Czechia face Guatemala today at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, in an international friendly that forms part of Czechia’s final preparation for the 2026 World Cup. Kick-off is scheduled on June 4th at 8:00 p.m. ET in the USA and June 5th at 2:00 a.m. BST in Europe.
Czechia secured its place at the World Cup after two UEFA playoff wins over Ireland and Denmark on penalties, booking its 10th appearance at the tournament. This friendly is the final opportunity for the coaching staff to settle the starting XI ahead of their opener against South Korea on June 11.
Guatemala on the other hand was eliminated in the CONCACAF qualifying group stage and continues their rebuilding process.
Striker Jan Kuchta is a major doubt after suffering an ankle injury in the previous warm-up match against Kosovo. The Czech coaching staff are expected to avoid any risk with him so close to the tournament.
Kick-off is at 8:00 p.m. ET / 5:00 p.m. PT in the U.S., which is 02:00 BST in the UK (next day in Europe).
