Czechia win in convincing fashion against Guatemala

But Guatemala would find an equalizer late in the first half after William Fajardo turned a chaotic scramble for the ball at the top of the 18 into a goal with a strike into the bottom right corner.

Coming out of halftime both teams would remain quiet offensively until Czechia broke through late with two goals in seven minutes.

In the 72nd minute, Tomáš Chorý headed in a long looping ball into net to put the Czechs back on top. And in the 79th, Denis Visinský would take advantage of a mistake by Guatemalan goalkeeper Luis Morán to sink the Czechs 3 goal of the night.

Czechia looks to carry this momentum into the tournament, with their first match up of the group stage coming against South Korea at 10:00 p.m. on June 11.
