Deshonne Redeaux is a prized local recruit for the USC Trojans' 2026 class. The four-star even channeled his inner recruiting coordinator to help seal one massive verbal commitment over the summer.
The running back out of Southern California powerhouse Oaks Christian High in Westlake Village helped run point for one other four-star move. Redeaux managed to win over Breck Kolojay -- USC's most recent verbal pledge for the current cycle.
The versatile guard and tackle became the 32nd hard commit to kick off August. The IMG Academy star chose USC after getting courted by Miami for a lengthy period.
So how did the RB help seal Kolojay's decision? He shared how in an exclusive one-on-one with Athlon Sports at the site of the Marmonte League media day.
"I was so happy. I was talking to [five-star tackle] Keenyi Pepe beforehand and Breck. I told Breck 'This is home. This is the place to be.' I was like 'You want to be a part of the best o-line? We've got the best o-line for next year. We've got a big wall,'" Redeaux shared to Athlon.
Kolojay adds a new layer to the "wall" Redeaux verbally illustrated. The four-star rises as the seventh future offensive lineman heading to the Land of Troy.
"And I'm really pumped up about that because of having those big boys to protect you," Redeaux added.
The running back has bulked up on his own end. Redeaux added muscle to his frame and is now 200 pounds heading into his senior season. The future USC RB revealed he now performs three workouts a day to prepare for the upcoming fall grind. Kolojay's future arrival ensures Redeaux will receive running room down the road.
