The Houston Rockets should've known better not to mess with the Golden State Warriors or Draymond Green. It started when All-Star center Alperen Sengun commented on his experience playing against the Warriors in the first round of the 2025 NBA playoffs. Sengun accused the Stephen Curry-led team of constantly complaining to the referees regarding fouls.
That was it. That was the extent of what Sengun said about the Warriors. However, Green got caught up in what the Turkish center said abo ut his team. He responded on the social media platform, Threads.
“That’s a tough thing to say after you lose… You have to win to stuff like that,” Green posted on Threads.
None of the Rockets players fueled the brewing rivalry. Sengun stood by his initial comments and declined to elaborate further.
"Oh Dear, now it’s war," she posted on X.

Green couldn't let her have the last laugh and clapped back on Threads.
"Somebody tell Mama Eason, she said it was war before they took the L… " Green posted.
The four-time champion wasn't finished. He predicted that Houston would be in their A-game when they face each other in the regular season.
"They gone come out playing hard as hell! ….. In a regular season game "
The two clubs will meet for the first time this season on November 27 in an NBA Cup game, a matchup that is expected to be heated. They'll face each other three times in the regular season, and every contest will be something that fans can look forward to.
