#1 YNG Dreamerz 102, #2 City Reapers 94
The YNG Dreamerz took a commanding 2-1 series lead in the OTE Finals with a 102-94 win over the City Reapers on Thursday night and now find themselves just one win away from their first title in program history. The Dreamerz staved off a spirited Reapers comeback attempt thanks to the all-around play from their team. Eli Ellis continues to be the brightest of stars, finishing this game with 33 points, eight boards, four assists and three steals as he did everything the Dreamerz needed to get back into the win column
The Dreamerz changed approaches in this game going for a more well-rounded team approach which saw them finish this game with six players in double figures. Jaiden Haynes continues to step up, scoring 16 points including three triples as he was ultra efficient with his opportunities. Isaac Ellis didn’t have a big scoring night but he served as the team’s primary distributor with five assists and played his typical pesky brand of defense to help the Dreamerz to the win
For the City Reapers, Meleek Thomas continued his playoff tear, scoring 20+ points for the sixth consecutive game, with 26 points tonight to go along with seven boards. Kole Grandison had an unbelievable evening scoring 20 points, including a couple of clutch buckets down the stretch, while also playing like a man possessed on defense which saw him get three blocks and two steals
The YNG Dreamerz will have a chance at history tomorrow night as they take on the City Reapers in Game 4 of the OTE Finals at 7 PM on OTE’s YouTube channel with a title on the line
