EA Sports College Football 26 Sparks Debate With ‘Toughest Place to Play’ Selection

With the new version of EA Sports College Football 26 coming out in just a matter of weeks, new details and reveals are coming out seemingly every day as fans prepare to get back on the digital gridiron.

On Tuesday, a new trailer for the revamped Dynasty Mode was revealed, as were the new rankings for the "toughest place to play" in the game. A year ago, this list sparked some controversy amongst college football fans, with Texas A&M's Kyle Field grabbing the No. 1 spot over the likes of LSU's Tiger Stadium, or Ohio State's Ohio Stadium.

It appears that the creators at EA Sports were listening, because the new list of toughest places to play looks quite a bit different this year.

According to the new rankings, LSU's Tiger Stadium has taken over the No. 1 spot, followed by Penn State's Beaver Stadium, Ohio State's Ohio Stadium, and Georgia's Sanford Stadium.

Here's a look at the top 10 of the rankings, compared to how they were slated a year ago:

1. Tiger Stadium (No. 3 in CFB25)

2. Beaver Stadium (No. 6 in CFB25)

3. Ohio Stadium (No. 4 in CFB25)

4. Sanford Stadium (No. 5 in CFB25)

5. Bryant-Denney Stadium (No. 2 in CFB25)

6. Memorial Stadium (No. 12 in CFB25)

7. Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (No. 10 in CFB25)

8. Oklahoma Memorial Stadium (No. 8 in CFB25)

9. Autzen Stadium (No. 11 in CFB25)

10. Michigan Stadium (No. 16 in CFB25)

We will see how different these rankings make the game play once it comes out in July, but at the very least, it is a good display of where the powers that be think are the loudest stadiums in the nation, and which teams have the biggest home-field advantage going into the new season.
