Eagles schedule top 30 pre-draft visit with USC standout
Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY Sports

NFL teams are allowed to host 30 prospects ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft and the Philadelphia Eagles are going viral for one of the players that they're looking to bring out to NovaCare Complex.

According to Andrew DiCecco of InsidetheBirds.com, the Eagles have a top 30 pre-draft visit with USC wide receiver Brenden Rice scheduled for early April.

While Rice is a highly-touted prospect as a Day 2 or early Day 3 selection, he's certainly getting more recognition for being Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice's son.

Rice spent two years at Colorado before transferring to Southern California in 2022.

In his final season playing with the Trojans, Rice reeled in 45 catches for 791 yards and 12 touchdowns as Caleb Williams' top target.

He's been having a solid pre-draft process and has performed well through all three phases so far (Senior Bowl, NFL Combine and USC's Pro Day).

At the combine, Rice officially weighed in at 6'2" and 208 pounds and ran an official 40-yard dash time of 4.5 seconds, a broad jump of nine feet, 11 inches, a vertical jump of 36.5 inches and had 13 reps on bench press.

The Eagles already have their core wide receivers DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown locked in.

They also signed DeVonte Parker and Parris Campbell in NFL free agency for veteran depth.

Still, Philly needs to get ahead of planning for life without their star wideouts and Rice has a lot of upside as a later-round option.
