The Bloomington Bison have announced that they’ve signed forward Ilya Tsulygin for the remainder of the 2025-26 season. Tsulygin, 23, joins Bloomington after putting up five goals and six assists for 11 points in nine games with DEAC (Erste Liga). I would expect Tsulygin to start on the bottom six for the Bison once he finds his way into the lineup. This doesn’t come as a shock after the Bison loaned forward Daniel Tedesco to the Italian National Team earlier this week. Tedesco has one goal in five games this season with the Bison.
Bloomington has also placed forward Noah Kane on Waivers. This comes after Kane made his Bison debut last night against the Indy Fuel.
Welcome to Bloomington, Ilya Tsulygin!

The Belarus native has spent the last three seasons in Erste Liga with Budapest Jégkorong Akadémia HC and DEAC. In 123 games, he’s put up 58 goals and 80 assists for 138 points. He led DEAC in goals (20) and points (60) during the 2024-25 season. Tsulygin has three goals and four assists for seven points in 22 playoff games. Prior to going pro, he spent the majority of his junior career in Belarus. During his junior days in Belarus, he played with Minskie Zubry, Lokomotiv Orsha, and Sobol Beryoza. The 6’5, 205lb forward would play in four games during the 2022 Belarus Cup with Lokomotiv Orsha, where he put up a goal. In Russia, he played 10 games in Russia with Reaktor Nizhnekamsk (MHL), but was unable to find the scoresheet.
