The Cincinnati Cyclones have announced that they’ve re-signed forward Lincoln Griffin for the 2025-26 season. Griffin, 28, led the Cyclones last season with 25 goals and 27 assists for 52 points in 70 games. Prior to the signing of Griffin, Cincinnati was the only team where their leading scorer had signed a contract yet. This is a huge signing for Cincinnati who lost a lot of key pieces on offense this offseason. He is the sixth forward and 11th player signed to an ECHL deal with the Cyclones.

The Walpole, Massachusetts, native has spent parts of the last four seasons with Cincinnati. In 215 games with the Cincinnati Cyclones, he’s put up 76 goals and 90 assists for 166 games. Griffin has two goals and one assist in nine Kelly Cup Playoff games with Cincinnati. In 2023, he would be named to the ECHL All-Star Game and would win the Fastest Skater Competition. During the 2023-24 season, he played 12 games in Slovakia with HK Nitra where he put up a goal and an assist.

“Consistency is one of those things that is extremely important yet difficult to find in a league that changes almost daily,” said Cyclones Head Coach Riley Weselowski. “Lincoln has been one of those consistencies for the Cincinnati Cyclones over the past four seasons. A relentless worker with a big offensive upside, he is right in the middle of his prime years as a hockey player.”

Prior to joining the Cyclones, he made stints with the Greenville Swamp Rabbits and Worcester Railers putting up four goals and three assists for seven points in 19 games. He would also play in 54 games in the SPHL with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs and Knoxville Ice Bears where he put up 14 goals and 14 assists for 28 points. Griffin had one assist in two playoff games with the Ice Bears in 2021.
