ECHL: Drake Pilon Heads Overseas For Third Straight Year

The Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, native split the first two plus years of his career between the Fife Flyers and Kalamazoo Wings. In 57 games with the Flyers, he’s put up seven goals and 11 assists for 18 points in two seasons. Pilon would play in two playoff games with the Flyers during the 2024 Playoffs, but couldn’t find the score sheet. During his time with the K-Wings, he’s put up eight goals and nine assists for 15 points.

Pilon’s OHL and USports Career

Prior to going pro, Pilon spent time in the OHL and in USports. In three seasons with the Sudbury Wolves (OHL), he would put up 31 goals and 38 assists along with 304 PIMS in 176 games. He would add two goals in 12 career OHL playoff games. Once he finished his time in the OHL, Pilon played three seasons at the University of Prince Edward Island. In 63 games with the Panthers, he put up 19 goals and 14 assists for 33 points along with 147 PIMs. He would add two goals and two assists for four points in seven playoff games. Pilon had a goal in three games during the 2022 University Cup.

Drake’s twin brother, Darian, has already re-signed for his third season in the ECHL with the Toledo Walleye.
