Professional Career

After completing his junior career, Maier started his professional career playing in the ECHL and AHL. During his time in the AHL, Maier played for the Lehigh Valley Phantoms and Providence Bruins. He played in 11 games, with a record of 6-3-2. He had 31 goals against and 242 saves on 273 shots faced for a save percentage of .886 and a 2.88 goals against average.

In the ECHL, Maier has played with the Reading Royals and Maine Mariners. Through his 86 ECHL games, he has a record of 37-37-8 with six shutouts. He has faced 2,515 shots, where he has 255 goals against and 2,260 saves for a goals against average of 2.98 and a .899 save percentage.

Nolan Maier is a goaltender who is smaller in size. But his ability to move throughout the crease can make it difficult for opponents to score when he is in net. Maier has really strong skating skills and has really good lateral movements.
