Indy Fuel defenseman Nick Grima is heading overseas to England to play in the EIHL with the Coventry Blaze. Grima, 27, spent three seasons playing in the ECHL with the Indy Fuel. In 112 games with the Indy Fuel, he recorded three goals and 25 assists for 28 points. Grima appeared in the Kelly Cup Playoffs during all three seasons of his seasons with the Indy Fuel. In nine playoff games, he recorded one assist.

Junior Career

Prior to going pro, Grima played junior hockey in the OJHL and OHL. The 27-year-old defenseman spent one season playing in the OJHL with the St. Michael’s Buzzers. During his time with the Buzzers, he played in four games.

The Toronto, Ontario, native spent five seasons playing in the OHL with the Peterborough Petes, Sarnia Sting, and North Bay Battalion. He spent two seasons with the Peterborough Petes, where he recorded four goals and 21 assists for 25 points in 78 games. During the 2017 season, Grima was traded from the Peterborough Petes to the Sarnia Sting. Grima spent two seasons with the Sarnia Sting, recording six goals and 46 assists for 52 points in 162 games. He added one goal and three assists for four points in 16 playoff games with the Sarnia Sting. After the 2018-19 season, Grima signed with the North Bay Battalion for the 2019-20 season. During his time with the Battalion, he recorded three goals and 27 assists for 30 points in 54 games.

After his time with the Battalion, Nick Grima would decide to take the USports route and play hockey at the University of Toronto. During his four seasons playing with the Blues, he recorded nine goals and 32 assists for 41 points in 67 games. He would add one goal and seven assists for eight points in nine playoff games with the Blues.
