The Tahoe Knight Monsters have announced that they’ve signed forward Keanan Stewart to an ECHL contract. Stewart, 25, has spent the majority of the season in the SPHL with the Evansville Thunderbolts, where he has six goals and 10 assists for 16 points in 21 games. He has also played with the Iowa Heartlanders, where he has a goal in six games. Stewart is a bottom-six forward but has yet to find a team he’s been able to stick with. The Guelph, Ontario native is in his third year pro as he’s spent time in the ECHL with the Cincinnati Cyclones, Adirondack Thunder, and Iowa Heartlanders. In 60 games, he has four goals and eight assists for 12 points. Stewart will not be in the lineup for tonight’s game vs Utah Grizzlies.

Keanan Stewart’s Stats

Prior to going pro, Stewart spent two seasons in the OJHL with the Burlington Cougars, where he was a point-per-game player, putting up 50 goals and 52 assists for 102 points in 102 games. He would have six goals and four assists for 10 points in 13 playoff games. The 6’4 forward then went to the NCAA, where he spent four years at Mercyhurst University. During his time with the Lakers, he had 18 goals and 11 assists for 29 points in 85 games.
