ECHL: Trois-Rivières Lions Sign Théo Gueurif

The Trois-Rivières Lions have added a new face to the roster with the signing of forward Théo Gueurif for the 2026-27 season. Gueurif, 24, had five goals and two assists for seven points in 15 games with Grenoble. This will be his first season in North America, and he becomes just the second French player to join the Lions after Pierrick Dubé put up 18 points in 19 games during the Lions’ first two seasons in the ECHL. Trois-Rivières now has six forwards and three defenseman signed for the 2026-27 season.

The Saint-Martin-D’Hères, France, native has spent parts of the last six seasons playing in Ligue Magnus with three different teams. In 196 games in Ligue Magnus, Gueurif has put up 31 goals and 47 assists for 78 points. He would add six goals and seven assists for 13 points in 28 playoff games and won two French Championships. Gueurif also picked up a Silver Medal at the Continental Cup in 2025, where he put up a goal and two assists for three points in four games.

In 2022, Gueurif won a Gold Medal with France at the U20 World Junior Championships (D1B), where he had a goal and seven assists for eight points in five games.
